Stamps on Olympics 2012
- Jagannath Mani, Bangalore
India Post is playing a new ball game with philately as there is no issue for Olympic 2012 in the list "Stamp Issue Programmed for the year 2012" , though the other countries have been issuing Olympic stamps to promote the games and enrich the Olympic philately. I hoped that many stamps will be issued during 2012 Olympic Games by India Post . Please view my blog below :

Keeping the finger crossed and hoping that many stamps will be issued by department of Posts on this subject to promote the sports in India .
In the mean time FIPO has announced that the next OLYMPEX philatelic exhibition will be held from 24 July to 9 September 2012 at the British Library in London. The exhibition will be by invitation only and based on the London Games of the Olympiad: 1908, 1948 and 2012. The entire announcement may be viewed in below link
