From 19 – 25 September 2011 The UCI Road World Championships will begin in Copenhagen with the Time Trials in the heart of the city centre. Athletes, coaches, officials and media from all over the world are arriving, and Denmark is ready to provide an attractive and scenic scene for the Worlds.
From the 19th of September to the 21st five Time Trial events are being staged in the heart of Copenhagen with start and finish in front of Copenhagen City Hall. The square which also hosted the festive countdown with thousands of people gathered for the announcement of the host city of the 2016 Olympic Games during the IOC Session and Congress in 2009.
On the 22nd of September the UCI Road World Championships ride to Rudersdal north of Copenhagen. Here also the Men’s Elite Road Race – 266 k - will take place – starting at the Copenhagen City Hall and finishing on Geels Bakke in Rudersdal on the 25th of September.
